According to Nick Leet...

My grandma's best friend for her whole life passed away and I found myself on the telephone consoling her. She kept saying "she was just on the telephone. She was just on the telephone." It was surreal. How do you relate to a situation where someone has watched two husbands and all their friends pass away? It was a heavy conversation. The song "Enjoy the Scenery" on Leaving MPLS in 2014 deals with the last conversation I had with my grandmother the day she died at age 90.

Musically I was going for somewhere between Teenage Fanclub and Plastic Ono.
