about

According to Nick Leet...

We chatted with Jim and asked him if he had any songs that he'd written that were maybe in the style of HoS. He gave me an acoustic demo of this and I turned it into a weird arty song from outer space. We recorded the outer space version and the all out rock version of the song. This version won.

lyrics

Now the numbered days have shown
you can look at me to know
I'm leaving, I'm leaving
Seven rounds to reflect in
Never ride this way again
I'm leaving, we're leaving today

Destinations been rerouted
Hold it together won't come back again
I'm counting on you to hold me in

I'm better than I used to be
Lost in my own company
We're even, I'm leaving
I keep falling till I touch the ground
No time for me to turn around
I'm breathing, I'm breathing in

I'm counting on you to hold me in
