about

According to Nick Leet...

We still play this one quite a bit. I had the hoppy guitar part and all of the lyrics and the band worked out their parts at rehearsal. I instantly fell in love with Chad's George Harrison-esque guitar hook on the verses.

The bridge references Jim's decision to move to Chicago as well as a call back about missing the red train from the song "Cop Light Parade." We originally discussed meeting halfway to do shows but I dismissed the idea at the time and we broke up the day this album was released.

The final verse references my cash machine days at Studio 24. Lots of dirty dishes and Bob Dylan. I was feeling reflective about the band and what I'd been through during the duration of the band as we were facing our impending demise in May 2014.
